In recent history, there have been news reports of many nations going through turmoil in epic proportions. The North African Church...A Holy Seed!

By Dr. Bassma Dabbour-Jaballah

According to the North African theologian Tertullian,
"The blood of the martyrs is the [holy] seed...."

Today, the church in North Africa, consisting of Christians from a Muslim background, represents an integral part of that holy seed, watered by the prayers of God's saints from around the world. In 2007, churches from far and wide nationally had gathered to pray for North Africa, and specifically for the country of Tunisia where Tertullian was originally from. It was a time of repentance and turning back to God. Since that time, church leaders have witnessed a revival movement taking place and many Muslims confessing their faith in Christ.

Pastor Terry: How Pizza Introduced Me to the Persecuted Church

From pizza to the persecuted church

Tom Zurowski: School of Love

school of love

By Tom Zurowski

Growing up as a child with many learning disabilities, I never thought that God could use me for much of anything. Over the years, He has proven to me that when we walk with Him, anything is possible. If the truth be known, none of us knows what our futures hold. My story is one of learning how to love. We may believe that loving God is pretty easy, but that is not as true as we might think. As Christians, to love God alone -- apart from the rest of a world filled with evil -- is somewhat easy. But when we go into an area where evil is prevalent, and look at it in the face and feel its destruction, we are challenged to examine the depth of our love for God and see how authentic it really is. The Apostle John challenged me to take a deeper look into my own heart to see just how much I really love God: "How can you say that you love God whom you cannot see if you do not love your neighbour whom you can see?" Working in South Sudan has been one of my schools of love.
